What is a Penta Head Bolt? Penta head bolts are an industrial security fastener. Made of stainless Steel to prevent corrosion Penta Bolts are typically used in city, municipal, government infrastructure.
Applications include, but limited to Manhole Covers, Waterworks, Valve Boxes, Meter Box, Ground Vaults, Electrical Junction Boxes and concrete enclosures and much more.
The unique 5 side head has no cavities or recess' to fill in with dirt or debris. At ground level applications the pentagon bolt is typically recessed to prevent it becoming a tripping hazard.
Debris or dirt that may accumulate at the edges of the five side head is easily dealt with by service technicians for proper fit of the install/removal tool. Penta tools are not available in hardware stores.

Pentagon® Security bolts are an excellent solution where larger sizes are needed. Standard sizes from 3/8″ to 5/8″ diameter are stocked and we can offer custom sizes as from 1/4″ up to 1″. Available in 18.8 Stainless & Zinc plated material.
